I'm an artist and love art. But I'm also a businessperson, coder, and have several other skills that people can and do pay me for. As much as I love art, AI art is getting exponentially more refined. Art will always exist as a human creation for the sake of showing culture or expressing one's self... but if it's in pursuit of money in a studio, you're probably gonna be out of luck with how tech is going. The writing has been on the walls for years, this is not a new thing.

Once DALL-E has prompt history memory like chatgpt and is able to handle text a little bit better, it should be able to generate full comic books or movies easily and be customizable to add touches if small changes are needed.

I'm a ceramic artist and humans figured out how to make ceramic stuff at scale a few thousand years ago so to me this is nothing new. There are even ceramic 3d printers. That doesn't stop me from enjoying the act of creation. It's satisfying to spend time on the wheel, like meditation. The art world is just chock full of faggots with shitty derivative art. I don't really understand what these drawfags were expecting? I haven't seen anything interesting or compelling from "concept artist" for over a decade. It all looks like the same wacom tablet style. I'm totally blown away by what AI can do. A lot of that shit resembles what my dreams look like, there's not a single artist in twenty years that's come close to giving me that kind of feeling. These mother fuckers have dreams about being Ralph Mcquarie but still can't make anything with soul. They have no real vision. It's a shame more conservatives aren't interested in art, but that's a whole other discussion.

Would be like a horse believing a car is just a tool to aid horses. It's industry theft delivered via first strike because the first quality model to exist will flood the internet at breakneck pace making data collection much more difficult. It's at a point now where a lot of artists won't have or get jobs within 5 years. The guys and companies in charge of the datasets should at least be fined and charged in perpetuity for stealing so much work; proceeds to grants for schools of all art fields. Even threads like this are just to demoralize artists from defending themselves

You find a group of similar artists and pilot around things you make. Because you're so close to the industry, you make connections and people talk.
