Presentation leaves a little to be desired, but heck, you're making them for yourself. My late mom used to make them fairly routinely and did a larger format roll... like double the size. Either way, they're best served with some sour cream!

yeah i put onions and garlic in with the beef
i steamed the cabbage for about 10 min i'd say, then i cut off the thick stem(?) part, wrapped it over top, tucked it in, wrapped it over again
thinking about it I should have smushed it flat before wrapping, that'd probably make it easier to wrap good
