>>18839293>>443302944i'm willing to admit that ukrainian forces are also inflicting losses on Russians especially mobilized troops that are sent to grey zone kill zones (Bakhmut, Zapo, Kherson) both with infantry raids on trenches, pitched battles in small villages and forest buffers and with FPV drones/artillery (especially the HIMARS you mentioned seem to have been very successful)
but to suggest that the Ukrainians are killing more, or even close to the same amount as the much larger and better-resourced Russians who are operating out of defense in depth and controlling the engagements since the beginning of the counteroffensive, that's just retarded. especially since UAF anti-air is degraded, Russia is able to hit concentrations of troops, armor and ammo/fuel/supplies with cruise missiles and lately 500/1500kg thermobaric fuel air bombs, basically mini-nukes with near-impunity
basically what i'm saying is: yes Russian narratives of taking few losses are propaganda, you're right, and UAF have probably achieved sporadic tactical victories (taking villages or individual trenches, inflicting casualties in the dozens or even hundreds in individual battles) but Russians are methodically dismantling the biggest and most well-funded army in Europe, and they are doing it from a position of relative comfort.
Ryan O'Leary (@ihatetrenches on twitter, commander of "Chosen Company") was rumored to be a zoophile during his high school years, i'm from a neighboring town and he came up in conversation at a bonfire. apparently there was an incident with him and a horse on a neighboring property that led to him enlisting in the military and moving away. but people still remember Ryan the Horseblower.
