Twitch chat rooms are extremely different than a normal social situation. The streamer knows way less about you then you know about him, there are many people all competing for his attention, and your communication channel is much poorer than the streamers. Regular forums or chatrooms (where everyone is equal) are better for online relationships. If the twitch channel is small enough, it can be more like a group conversation and then the second problem is solved but the first and third problems still remain.
