>>18854948Ok OP, here's the big enchilada for you.
Man is integral, which means that confidence has to attain across all hierarchies of your faculties and domains.
First, look at the etymology of the word confidence. It means "with faith". If you believe in yourself, you will fail because human nature is fallen. You have to believe in God in relation to being loved and created and at the same time, given capacities to cooperate with His graces.
So you have to be grateful that God made you. You have to accept your weaknesses and rely on God and resolutions to do better and avoid sin.
Avoiding sin or departing from it is a huge confidence boost not many talk about. You think differently, you feel differently, you learn about what's inside of you to a point of not being able to imagine that there's such depth to one's soul. It honestly can be an astounding experience.
What people say about father figure is true. However good news that every adult is supposed to adhere to God as their Father, idea that we are children of God. That is very liberating and at the same time, you can form a friendship with a man who has done the right things in life and learn from him some of that manly confidence.
Last puzzle is this. All that you do is for God whom you love. Need to get up? Well I know for Whom I'm waking up. Scared to talk to someone? Well, I know Christ is in everyone. Afraid to tell someone off? Well, I'm here to do God's work.
Fear is a temptation of the devil. Trustful confidence in Christ instead. Now remember about prudence because confidence ain't it all - you have to think before you do, because it humbles, and you will notice that certain fears are God-given - they often keep you out of harm's way!!
Oh, and physical - you should be in shape because that means you have energy for working in God's vineyard!
Living in truth means knowing who you are today and what's your destination ie salvation, so every day trying to work it out.
