>>18863192yes. though i'm not saying to never buy anything. just only buy what really aligns with your values. what i'm saying is the right to repair is a load of bullshit. you either benefit from the purchase or you don't buy it. if you want the ability to repair something easily, keeping it operational forever, and one company/product tries to take that away from you then just don't buy it. i refuse to buy into burdens. i had 2 smartphones and they both had their lithium ion battery expand suddenly pushing the casing apart and had to quickly and dangerously charge the spoiled battery outside risking explosion to remove personal files still on the phone. and people said it was "by design". never again. i refuse to buy another smartphone unless those things are guaranteed not to happen. i'll just stick to pocket PCs or micro laptops for mobile computing where i can swap out the battery for a new one or at least remove the storage medium.
