Was thinking about this the other day, so I thought I'd ask.

Is /pol/ the natural evolution of /b/? We know that /b/ isn't what it once was, and that /pol/ is the "heir" - influence on internet culture, board activity, etc.

A lot of the antics of from the early days of /b/, "Pools Closed", etc, aren't really that dissimilar to the meme magic we saw get Trump elected, or any of the other antics on here over the last few years. /b/ now, of course, couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery, etc.

How many here started out in /b/ and then navigated towards /pol/ as they got older? I'd be curious to know how many >oldfags and >newfags there still are, or maybe the board path everyone took before they arrived at /pol/.

This all of course sounds very newfaggy, and >plebbit, but I'm genuinely curious as to how long most have been here/their path/whether you're pre or post Boxxy, etc. Ultimately, I think I'm just feeling nostalgic.
