best time in my life, was in the 80s, early 90s before i got sent to boarding school, boomer dad had a job abroad in africa, large expatriat community, my home life was shit, absentee father and crazy foreign mother but i had the best time ever in my entire life as I spent almost ALL of my time at my friend's house (he had rich parents and was literally spoiled rotten) but i got to enjoy all his stuff, huge mansion sized house, huge garden, huge pool, his dad even got a carpenter to build him a 2 story 3 story tree house and it had a zip line from the top of it down the big slope of the garden, it was at least 100m long, also he had a cool petrol go-cart, so we were like 11 years old and driving fast around on the roads etc., and of course he had a cool PC and i remember playing prince of persia, also he had a NES and huge collection of games, also he had a private chef, we had imported snacks and cool drinks on tap and a chef to make us lunch and dinner, honestly that was the best part of my life and i lived like a rich person as a kid and after getting back to reality later on in life i was too depressed to even try as i knew i would NEVER have a life like that with what was on offer in the UK for me.
fucked me for life basically, been living as a NEET since dropping out of college 25 years ago.
oh and i remember seeing his dad's passport, wasn't a regular passport like 'british citizen' it was a 'british territories passport' and i didn't know at the time but later i looked it up and they are special passports for agents of the crown, they have the right to live / work in any british overseas territory, canada, aus, nz and virgin islands iirc. i would actually be quite happy to live those years from 7 to 11 years of age (11 sent to boarding school in the UK and that was basically the end of life for me, the UK is a depressing shit hole prison state)
yeah i would relive those years, minus my bad home life, not beyond that though
