Modern paganism is just decorated athiesm, or in case of "trad pagans" redecorated Christianity. The Nords weren't civil with healthy family values before Christianity. You may be ok now, but one day you will have something terrible or life threatening happen to you, and have no god or church to help you and will then realise how foolish you were. The might makes right mentality is demonic. The wests greatness comes from our balance of being strong and not putting up with shit but also being loving to our fellow man and helping each other out. Too much of either is bad. Christianity is the balance.
