The only thing that the IJN ought to be ashamed of is not sinking erry naval asset inside that military base. Had erry BB, CV, DD, and aircraft, inside pearl been outright destroyed, sunk, and/or rendered fit for scrap only, then the weimerican counterattack would have been held back for quite a lengthy time since they would most likely be focusing on aiding bongland first, and the scraps go to the remainder of their vassal states/nations.
TL;DR: The people in charge on the strike in pearl harbor just signed their cunt's death warrant by doing a half-assed seek and destroy mission.
