That ability to detach from society and that distance from civilization is what allows people to form an idea of their self. Most people have been given every idea they've ever had. They've been told what to wear, what to study, when to work, how hard, who they'll be, and what they'll become all their life from birth til the now. This is 'society', and conformance to this pressure is because of social influence, and our dependency on it, as developing humans from infancy to retirement. So, why should or shouldnt you involve yourself in anything? If society is pressuring you into politics, probably you will suffer for it. Everyone is best at being their self, the person they are with or without society surrounding them. If you want to be in politics, you should already know why and what for you are involving yourself in politics, so that you can be political and your self at the same time. The reason it is important to be your self whatever you do is because thats the only real you in the world and you only live one time so get as much you in to the universe as you can. People die like candles in wind all the time in an instant, including you will.
