Traps and trannies are not the same thing. Oldfags liked traps, but they always admitted the whole thing was purely sexual and a niche fetish. No one was fighting for "trap rights" or insisting they used the proper pronouns or anything. They just masturbated to anime crossdressers.
The whole tranny thing is entirely different and based around trying to legitimize a mental illness by latching on to the gay rights movement and turning the whole thing into some sort of retarded social movement.
