I took a vacation to Tanzania (one of the only stable nations in Africa) in 2019 because I was really into backpacking and nature photography, and really wanted to at least go around Mount Kilimanjaro (not skilled enough to summit it).
Tanzania was a nice place, I was treated relatively well. I was stuck in Dodoma for a few days because of some bad rainstorms in the north with the Kenyan border (near Kilimanjaro), and had an overall good time.
I think without Westernization, they are very nice and welcoming people (given if they are in stable places not at war). Would like to one day go back to Tanzania or Namibia or Botsawana (which I hear are also nice places) to be part of a safari
