Most vegans and vegetarians lose muscle from their body cannibalizing itself to keep alive (which is also why they're so weak). They also have trouble with maintaining a healthy weight because plants don't really have nutrients we can absorb generally, except for sugar in some of them.
That's why she looks like a fucking skeleton. She's nutrient deficient. It's sad.
Now it's possible with extremely careful food selection to stave off the worst of the muscle loss and weight loss for a little while, but it's still a losing battle.
Look at someone who has been vegan/vegetarian for twenty years or more, not at those who have been for only two years.
It's certainly effective at weight loss with minimal effort, but it should only be temporary if you choose to do that. People go vegetarian/vegan for a year or two and praise their progress and then go blind to the degradation of their body past that point because they've become part of the cult.
