The thing is, you need to be on a sufficient dose of DMT to see it(not breakthrough doses).

He proposes that altered states are required to see the code, it makes sense considering the brain is simply a biological computer that filters lot of information it receives anyways. DMT is a neurotransmitter in your brain and when you ingest large quantities, another layer of reality is revealed.

My personal view is that I don't think entheogens like DMT cause a false hallucination, just increase pattern recognition and reveal things normally hidden to prevent an overload. I think it's also like a video game as in games use triangular polygons to create complex geometry, DMT breaks down those 'polygons' which is why you get overloaded with fractals and geometry. Isn't it strange also how at very lose doses of DMT, reality seems to "downgrade" its graphics, where things seem more like Minecraft? If you've taken DMT, you know what I mean. You also know that things feel realer than real than while sober.

I think if the code is real, it may be a sort of easter egg, or maybe it wasn't able to be hidden without breaking the reality engine. It's highly likely reality is some sort of simulation anyways, pretty much 100% (either a computer simulation or spacetime projection from ultimate awareness, see: Donald Hoffman)
