Can a tiny cut injure the flexor tendons in your finger?
I lost the ability to move one of my fingers and I'm a little concerned.

i dont know how deep you cut it, but yes, you can seriously injure and hamper your tendors even with a relatively minor cut

It is like martial arts for the hands. You do it a few hours a few times per week, and you have to learn how to do it in the right form elsewise you injure yourself. You also have to learn to read music sheets or memorise all the accords and train your reflexes if you want to play more impromptu. You can already forget playing by hearing with your age. And a piano teacher is practically a coach whose main job is to make sure you move your hands in a way to not sustain permanent injury.

In theory tendons are connective tissue, therefore any injury should heal easily, but in reality tendon injuries tend to activate NLRP3 inflammasome pathway and thus making PAMP release to the bloodstream, this situation normally goes through inflamation of the tendon, and making the zone around the tendon a completely unfunctional swollen solid rock for 3 days.
The only thing that can help are corticoids or non-esteroid aa like tacrolimus.

so having a teacher is pretty much a must then, how often should you see one, is once a week/two weeks enough?
The main problem is that i just don't know where to start and how to practice, i know i should know my scales, chords and arpeggios but i have 0 clue how to actually learn them
well not having a weighted piano is also a problem, they're really fucking expensive now
