I take tons of fruit, veggies and spice based ones: beet root for running but also things like cinnamon, tart cherry, milk thistle.
Basically if it's cheap and comes from a plant and there's at least mixed evidence that it can offer a benefit I'll add it to my handful in the morning and my before bed mix.
I ran 17 miles on Sunday. I run 10km every day. I only started running regularly about 12-18 months ago and I'm middle aged.
Something is working.
All that said I eat clean unprocessed foods. Mostly raw. Fruit/vegetables/dairy is the foundation I build upon. So I'll eat particular fruits and veggies for their supposed effects. Like red bell peppers and carrots for carotenoids. The supplements are just a back up
