>>19067805We get along for the most part, but if you take a close look at the map of Kyrgyzstan you'll notice we have some fucked up enclaves in the south that cause tensions with our neighbors occasionally (legacy of the poorly drawn Soviet borders). We've experienced some border clashes because of that in the past, but that has luckily never led to an all-out war.
There's this weird ethnic element to the whole thing too. The Kyrgyz and Kazakhs are more Asian/mongol while Tajiks and Uzbeks are more turkic/persian. And all of these have diasporas living in the other three countries. While Kazakhs blend in with the Kyrgyz, Tajiks and Uzbeks noticeably stand out, making them a target of discrimination and that discrimination in turn strains our relations with the Uzbek and Tajik states.
At least that's my impression, I'm just a Slav and may not understand all the nuances of these relations.
