Another show that's good right now is Sousou no Frieren about an ancient elf and 2 of her friends are called Himmel and Heiter. There is also a scene where humans naively accept a demon into their midst and the demon goes nuts and kills everyone. What does that remind you of?
Anime quality is decreasing, but they still put out a few gems like this.
