I am a single mother. The father of my child demanded a paternity test (newsflash: I never cheated, the results were a 99.99% likelihood for him to be the father ). The judge ordered for me to pay half ($99 USD) of the test even though I KNEW that baby was his. I never cheated nor did I sleep around (unlike him).
Irks me to bits so I definitely understand the misogyny aspect of what you are saying. It doesn't feel good to be seen as a w ** ore or a s** ut like how I was perceived until the results of the test came back. I felt very validated when I was proved correct though, although it feels very invalidating to be thought to be lying about who the father of your child is when you know exactly who it is.
That being said - I do like the idea of having a massive database of male DNA to be able to solve crimes like sexual assault and to indicate paternity. I do have privacy and security concerns but, let's be honest, if a guy assaults anyone (male or female) then he doesn't deserve privacy. Shouldn't have committed a crime then.
