he was leaned onto the bar seperating the kitchen from the living room
smoking what was probably his 30th marlboro red at 11am
he was looking up at the ceiling talking to himself as i walked past and he muttered

he would go duck hunting before school in the mornings
after hunting, he would get on the schoolbus with his shotgun and a burlap bag with what he'd killed
he'd give his shotgun to the bus driver to watch over for the day
and pay him for his trouble in duck meat
