>>19181549once I'm done sculpting in blender I need to merge all objects into one and export them as an .stl file (format that saves raw triangle data)
in order to be able to print that model on a printer I need to first imported into a slicer software which converts geometry into a collection of cross sections
Resin 3D printing works by burning UV resin onto a platform layer by layer from bottom to top
these cross sections are basically black and white images that act as a filter for UV light
in order for print to succeed it's also important to create supports in case you have parts of the model that start printing in mid-air (like hands for example)
if you want to save on resin you can also hollow your models but you need to add drainage holes that normalize the pressure inside the figurine so that resin doesn't get sucked inside and figurine doesn't deform
so basically that's how it works in a nutshell
