Unlike regular Christianity, JW is more strict and you actually have to follow the teachings of the Bible or you get in huge trouble. I wasn't allowed to celebrate any "Pagan" holidays or birthdays. Couldn't salute the flag or be part of "Satan's world". Can't play sports because competitiveness is evil.
This becomes a huge problem, because you become a target for other kids to pick on, and are seen as an unpatriotic enemy by teachers.
