>>19203489it was fucking amazing, but the context in which it existed completely changed and naturally 4chan followed suit. i can guarantee you at least half of pol right now are formerly btards from back then. 4chan was part of the internet zeitgeist and was MUCH more active back when the internet was an INSANE place and no one ever knew what the fuck was going on. it truly was a wild ride and the nostalgia doesnt sting as much anymore considering how equally but very differently insane the current times are. in a nutshell it was more naive, bombastic, lulzy, innocent/cute, grotesque (gore was more... fresh), and much more ingroup-ish, of which the cohesion allowed raids and all sorts of really lulz-worthy shit. egirls originated here, and i lament the time when boxxy/cracky were queens.
if youre unfamiliar with newgrounds, deviantart, livejournal, liveleak, habbo, and youtube pre-2012, youll have a hard time imagining what 4chan was because youre missing some pretty core memories around it. i guess you could say 4chan was the summation of the intarnetz in general at the time.
the summerfags hoarded around the border every fucking summer since ~2013, but finally breached the walls around 2018, 2 years after trump. the whole trump era flocked in a bunch of niggers to the chan and reddit wised up to it and ledditors FLOODED 4chan ever since because muh heckin laughs!!
shills/glows/chatgpt nearly KILLED this board sometime during covid, but thankfully the huge population boom and the ironic ignorance of newfags allowed 4chan to bounce back and now agencies will forever seethe and bask in our smelly stinky glory. i guess poisoning an entire global population and creating millions of neets backfired.
