Diversity is destroying cultures and will lead to the complete erosion of diversity, while equality means treating people differently to ensure not even equal outcome (i.e. scaled to actual proportions of populations or equal pay) but preferential and superior benefits for whoever is pretending to be "disadvantaged".
These "social justice" terms have been industrialized by now and the people involved in it will keep pushing for more, as this is the core of "progressivism" - they simply can't stop. So they just invent more definitions and angles of argumentation to justify utter inequality.
Thankfully people are waking up more and more, since it really has become completely ridiculous at this point.
