If your problem is approaching girls, from my experience abroad i managed to get girls talk to me just hanging around and got their instagram, just saying that i was new in the country and needed some friends, something like this never happened in my country, as i am shy and i don't get approached by anyone.
I am confident enough that abroad some people might have way more chances because of this, not only that, i also found friendship easily being offered drinks by people my age, even as an introvert.
Also this depends on the person, but abroad you may feel less introvert. Some people may have a completely different personality abroad even.
