Yandex used to have such a good reverse image search engine but it got neutered a year back. So sad. I still use it because it's still the best reverse image search function, but it was a lot better a year back.

Google at some point a few years ago put a filter that removes images it thinks are too lewd or showing too much skin. Searches on the "no filter" setting still have it partially in place. It happened overnight and it was pretty obvious that it happened because everyone started to switch over that day as reverse image search for every porn addict became noticeably useless. Google wanted to be more family friendly I suppose

Algorithms in all of the search engines are trained by crunch monkeys who tune them manually.
There are like 2 or 3 platforms who do it and it mostly consists of the same people.
Yandex has its own and it was mostly running bored housewives who had nothing better to do, but recently they went global and there are a lot of pajeets now, so yandex algos are now effectively trained by the same people who train google and bing, at least for queries in English.
