The main message of Christ was that the jews are no longer God's chosen people and that God would be looking for others to take their place. Read the parable of the wedding banquet. Jesus seemed to clearly suggest the ones who were once chosen had failed, and that now God is sending servants (his angels) to find people to take their place.
Why is that so many Christian conservatives in the USA say "the jews are God's chosen people"? Why? If you are a true Christian, YOU are the chosen.
If you are a Christian, you should no longer ever say the jews are God's chosen people because it seems as though they were ejected from their position.
I hope every Christian realizes this soon. I hope the congressman phonies who utter this line are seen for the frauds they are.
