>>19268741Today you learned a valuable lesson about caring, friend! The moment they got their own life in order. Attaining that state means taking on a host of responsibilities that have consequences should one abrogate them. The ordering of life, the act of becoming, was always the point of therapy. The therapist was working with you to will ordered selves into being. Some went along, some didn't. Empathy's mostly a meme word and best removed from your vocabulary, mostly because it's solipsistic. If the therapist says they have empathy for you, then they do. Saying they don't is an attempt to exert power over them and encourage them to remain in a disordered state. And with the passage of time, immediacy moves from the abstract to the concrete, from what's inside your head to what's in front of you. Appreciate kindness when it presents itself, because you never know when it's the last time you'll see it.
