No, that guy was Romania's prime minister, I think he's Mayor of some city in Transylvania now. It was a pretty bad fall though. I can speak Portuguese and Italian besides English. I know basic German and French. Currently learning Swedish vocabulary, which is a breeze once you know English. I can read Cyrillic and I'm expanding on Russian vocabulary.

Deutsche Welle has a free learning program that's worth checking out. Most text to speech tools of today can help you a lot with pronunciation. You can check letter by letter to get the phonetics right. Right now im reading The Metamorphosis in German and I go to the translator whenever I don't get something. I read it aloud like some kind of spaztic nerd. I also read random shit in English trying to do different accents.

Being translated into English and being written in English are different things.
Latin and Greek, Russian, Arabic and Persian, Chinese and Japanese are all worth learning as well
