>>19308066Well each time someone starts a business these days they want to have a flashy website (with animations, wooow) that does a good job representng what they offer and getting the potential clients to bite the bullet and choose them over the competitors. They also want a custom email domain. Finally they want their website to appear high up in google searches. And someone to maintain it for them. None of that takes much effort or skill, sure, but time is money and they do what they do best while hiring someone to take care of the rest. Plus for some it's still magic, you won't believe how clueless some grown up educated people are, even our generation (~30).
Wasn't deliberate on my part, I just helped someone out when offered some extracash, they recommended me to someone and on it went. I honestly try to to the best job there though.
Also none of this is nearly as lame as some marketing guys have, they just set up ad campaigns by configuring who gets to see that junk normal people have adblocked and then essentially try to get their employer to give them the money to outbid competitors.
Was looking at rent in downtown Seattle on a whim once and it's like 2500/mo on average, while avg apartment is 65m2. Insane.
