i am doing the two fingers through left palm method for a week but it doesn't register in any of my dreams.

you gotta do the door method
when you are awake, every time you go through a doorway pause for a moment, touch the door frame and say to yourself "am i dreaming?"
then one night in your dreams you will come to a doorway, you'll ask yourself "am I dreaming?" and you will be able to go from there

I have the answer:

It's not something you can force. There are tricks to help induce them but they come when they do. Best advice I can give is to get into a habit of questioning if you're awake multiple times a day.
