coordination isn't really needed for driving, the elderly can do it when they can barely walk. it's much much easier than you're picturing. you can also take routes to avoid going too quickly until you get more confident

How does this even happen in America? Did your parents never make you learn to drive or get a job when you were in high school?

My dad would have kicked my ass if I just sat around the house playing on the computer all day and never learned to drive or work. Being a NEET was never an option unless I wanted to be homeless.

I think most people are scared of driving for the first time but that goes away after your first driving lesson. At least in my driving school you were basically just steering the car in the first lesson while the instructor was shifting the gear, breaking etc.
