>>19329717I've met some good therapists but they are few and far between. Modern psychology is a scam, I got my masters a long time ago and decided not to work in the field after having a good look behind the curtains even if I was encouraged by some reputable people in my area who ran their own private practices for 20-30 years. It takes a certain kind of attitude, personality and life experience to be a good psychologist. Without it it's just words. The profession is swamped with uglier daughters of rich parents who know absolute shit about anything and if you skillfully lead the conversation you'll quickly realize they are equally interested in psychology, magic fucking crystals, latest fad diets and progressive ideology. They are absolute shit at working with clients, because they are awkward and unpleasant so they naturally drift to administrative positions and end up deciding about your certificates, accreditation and supervision. I'd rather learn to code.
