>>19417195>The idea that guys and girls can't ever truly be friends because of all the sexual tension by at least one side will always get in the way of genuine friendships that exist outside of/in spite of sex possibility*meant to add on "in spite of sex possibility is anathema to women. They genuinely don't think that guys don't read deeply into their signalling, which they claim is just them having fun.
Like "haha, do you think my butt looks good?" And the guy, being rational, is going to assume "oh shit, she's trynna put the moves on or something", but in her head, it's literally just an innocent statement and there is absolutely no flirtation or insinuations going on at all. She expects the guy to take the statement at face value, when he will almost always do anything but.
It's fucking wild. This college girl I was with a few years back, she would always say "I'M GONNA CUM" clearly quoting something, and I just kept thinking about what she meant by it. And when confronted about it, tactfully as I could at least, she said she just says it because it's funny, with no idea about how it affects guys around her because her default assumption is that guys don't see her as wanting to fuck because she's attractive. It's just something that's so bizarre, and I'm sorry I don't know how to put it better into words.
Maybe somebody else can explain this phenomena better.
