The smell thing is 100% true, even for some Australia born indians. Thing is, if you stink at school, kids will tell you about it very quickly so Aussie indians learn fast otherwise they'll get bashed and bullied.
The eating shit is unknown to me and I'm not even Hindu. I go to india all the time and I've never seen or even heard about it. It is literally confined to dumb uneducated filthy villagers, but of course, india has a billion people.
