I am a sucker for mysticism. although I seek reason I love to lose myself in the studies of the mystics
the writers of fiction are separate from mystics for they do not believe what they write, the mystics do- and that makes the entire text unhinged
when I hear the stories of Shabbatai Zevi, Abraham Abulafia, Nostradamus, Plato, Abramelin and many others it calms my mind
I have great respect for many cultures except my own
I hold jewish (and middle eastern in general) cuisine in high regard
I even tried to find jews on my mother's side of the family but alas village folk is all I could find
only two more years to get my degree and I can start my studies in earnest, I'll study what I want not what I have to. I'll deepen my wisdom of what was already taught to me because then I will no longer "have to know it" but rather be free to learn it, but I will pepper it with studies of mysticism, history and writting of the ancients, the old and relatively fresh
