Current stage of conflict started with a neutral neighbour purpose. Some planning mistakes here and there, some background treaties here and there, and the only option left to make ukraine neutral is to control the territory.
The elephant in the room about this conflict is the external aid. Ukraine wont fight for long without all those weapons and mercernaries, the only question is when will it stop.
I don’t see any negotiations with the current ua government as an option. Best result would be collapse of the front and odessa under russian control, imho.
But all these depends on the jews talking to each other behind the scenes.
No one I know really want people to die, but it wont happen until ukraine exists.
