>>19499142I’m an audiophile with a holographic home system. I mean it’s really nice. You can hear where a musician is on a stage in a good live recording even when they aren’t singing yet. The cheers sound like they are all around you. It’s possible and amazing.
I thought little of Taylor Swift’s work, such of it as I had heard, but with all the commotion I thought it must be recorded well and mastered impressively. While good stereos will still make the most of a poor recording, the truly great recordings are few and far between. Could she have some? Things our crowd like tend to be famous. Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you Were Here, The Beatles -Abby Road, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, The Flaming Lips. To name a few. Obviously you’ve heard of them but they are also S tier recording quality regardless of if you care for their specific music or not.
I thought Taylor Swift might be among them and gone somewhat unoticed because being a female centered audience. So I bought the best quality of her entire vinyl discography, another tell that they have quality recordings.
It’s pretty mid. It’s got decent high dynamic range, decent separation, ok imaging. Nothing really special is going on here. It’s not poorly recorded just typical professional quality. Meh
Then I saw it, pic related. An outrageously priced album. These are usually bangers, and it’s live. I already had a live album but it was cheap. Sometimes different vinyl prints are vastly different. I spent thousands on one brand new.
It’s a disappointment. Not the 3D live performance some recordings are. My god, it’s just a shitty heart shaped collectable. I’m playing the equivalent of Hello kitty on a sound system worth more than some people’s homes.
I gave it all to my grand daughter and she got mad because it wasn’t MP3’s. :[
