Just to give an example, Toriyama did a manga where a shoujo was the protagonist, but he wasn't the first to do this, or pioneer its popularity (that would be Azuma Hideo, who was Tezuka Osamu's equal in terms of influence). Same goes for battle manga; Toriyama Akira didn't pioneer that, either.
If I had to think of things Toriyama Akira did that were unique to him specifically that people copied, it would be:
Pafu Pafu
Kamehameha
Spiky Bushes for Hair(?)
But I would need to investigate more older manga to see if shooting out a burst of energy from their fists originated from Toriyama (I have some older manga where characters were doing this and they were calling it stuff like 'Sonic Boom', and there's a likelyhood Toriyama copied that for Kamehameha).
