A-H isn't pride, if anything that was why the Hungarian portion of the Empire was in constant struggle. Poles in A-H understood how much better they had it than their compatrions north and west. Czechs and Magyars were more prideful than the german elites.
the Greek Empire if anything is the prime example of pride, since the refusal by the elites and the common people to cooperate with the Latins/Gotho-Roman Empire is the direct cause of their downfall.
