>>19516057The best fruit, I think, can be leading others to Christ through our good deeds. Humans learn intuitively, and if we profess to love God and Jesus but act like sinners, other people will be less likely to love God because of our faults.
Besides that, "whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things". What is good and lovely? Good relationships; good deeds in your community; a good reputation; a good future for your descendents.
I will quote to you from Plato's Republic , from wise old Cephalus :
"Maybe from the weakness of old age, or perhaps because, now that he is nearer to what lies beyond, he begins
to get some glimpse of it himself-at any rate he is beset with
fear and misgiving; he begins thinking over the past: is there
anyone he has wronged? If he finds that his life has been full of
wrongdoing, he starts up from his sleep in terror like a child, and
his life is haunted by dark forebodings; whereas, if his conscience
is clear, that 'sweet Hope' that Pindar speaks of is always with
him to tend his age."
