Been on keto for more than 5 years. Only eat at night, one time, big time (a whole roasted chicken easily at night with veggies and a little carbs from time to time but in the form of boiled cereals like couscous or rice as I said)

I may be perfectly wrong, but think of what we ate before we had centuries of selected/Darwin cheats ON cereals and basically everything we plant nowadays. We needed to catch our food. Run after it and kill them trowing pointy sticks. We were fueled by meat and fat. We havent changed that much and carbs were a filler, methinks.
Im the strongest in all the gyms I entered for more than a decade now and I go there fasting. And ny body craves heavily for meat. I can down 250 grams of ham/turkey without any loaf of bread and barely notice.
I try to reverse engineer what we ate when we had to chase food, and even eati g only at night makes sense. You dont want the blood in the gut or a alcaline ph in blood after shit goes down the stomach for hunting, I think.
Idk anon, me and the wife are in that boat for years and I even have my love handles there (fucking maria cookies with s 0 y when I was a kid...strogenic af) so even full "only eat animals" mode you can go overboard with calories. Now after a heavy carb food I feel bloated. Also veggies prolly had a "purge" thing to them and a filler for stomach. The kcals on them (for us) make me think this way. They held with gut flora and dumping a solid shit.
