>>19542701$5 was a good tip 20 years ago. Since then rent has more than tripled along with car insurance, food and auto maintenance.
If you don't want to tip, see if Amazon or USPS can deliver your food in under an hour for the same price. Food delivery is a premium service. Drivers often wait (unpaid) while your order is being prepared. Doordash limits the number of concurrent deliveries to 2 orders and drivers are lucky to even get that many at once. Food delivery apps hire illegals to try to lower the average earnings per driver. Their execs masturbate to the Amazon business model which can never work with food delivery for a number of reasons. #1 among these: Amazon pays their drivers $20/hour, however Amazon drivers 1) Load ALL the packages for their route in a central location at the same time, 2) Amazon pays for the vehicle, gas, insurance, maintenance, and repairs- Doordash and Ubereats drivers must absorb those costs out of pocket. 3) Amazon drivers have benefits for which food delivery drivers must also pay out of pocket.
Either tip well for premium service or learn to cook. If you subscribe to a food delivery service you are a dupe and a sucker.
