>>19594533i used to value truth, and i still do
in fact a promise i made to myself was to always base my opinions on stuff like arguments and facts, rather than just shift my views in a way thatll please others or for any kind of personal gain
a promise i still hold to myself
and thats what happened
it was a gradual process
ive seen people like faggots, niggers, kikes, troons, chinks, etc who i agreed with on plenty of issues
who loved their people just as much as i loved mine
which switched my view from "these people are evil" to "i suppose theres some good members in those groups"
then ive seen arguments people made for why people like faggots arent the literal devil, or why kikes dont want to destroy my people or whatever the fuck
mind you, ive had pretty right wing friends at the time, and they hated whenever i changed my mind on any of these issue
like the "will literally try to ruin your life" level of hatred
but i didnt give two fucks
in fact, ive found friends with more progressive views only after ive changed my views
none of my views were changed to please anyone; on the contrary, i risked my life changing them, but i gave 0 fucks and did it anyways
why? because i saw convincing arguments
>to progressives and leftists, bigotry has become a virtue.are you saying "leftists are the real bigots because they hate those with opposing views"?
if so, while its true that lefies like to gatekeep way more than they should, and im very critical of that
but i let than in no way shape my views
but plenty of far right people are intolerant of opposing views, as well
thats why i dont think of politics as team sports
im for people being allowed to live however they want as long as they leave others alone
however, that also includes being allowed to voice their opinions
i feel thats pretty tolerant, and i dont care whether its a "left wing" view, a "right wing view", or whatever else
