For all I know, if the artist drew naka with a circle, it might very well be normal.
Besides, the "correct" strokes are shit sometimes, take naka for example. You could very easily draw it in three strokes and have it look just as squareish, the down->right stroke is extremely common already, but chinks insist that the square part should have a little droop on both sides and not just on the right, for what I assume are purely aesthetic reasons.
