i think honestly, as a korean american, that the mother land is just as fucked as the place we live in right now. there is a great wealth of culture to rediscover and reconnect with, but there is also a mountain of tradition and the sense of repression that comes with that. really, it's up to you where you'd be most happy, whether it's here, asia, or even brazil.
don't fall for the stupid racist nationality myth, pure genetics aren't so common here, most usually everyone is a dull inert human with mutt genetics, and the ones that aren't, are just using photoshop filters to make it seem otherwise. hatred and racism are inseparable from culture though. it's fucked being discriminated at home, then going overseas and getting discriminated by your own people for not being enough like them, and then getting discriminated by randomly rude pedestrians sightseeing in a foreign country. the hatred in this world is endless, as is the love, so ultimately it's a matter of what shit sandwich you'd rather take a bite out of. i also think it's a natural consequence of the times we live in because of how absurdly common it's become to receive more negative attitudes than positive, no matter the circumstances. even here, no matter the board i post on, there is always the brainrot retard to try and step on my toes to feel something for himself, rather than realize i'm here to help us all stand strong together, no matter our petty differences. 4channers are now dumb, and the culture now seriously reflects this stupidity.
overall, just enjoy life. it's too short to waste it worrying on the petty bullshit. both hatred and acceptance can be found anywhere, not just where you live. ultimately, embrace your humanity and rise above the monkey mind because we are so much more than just the ugliness that we let define us.
