it's basically America-Lite except without any of the things that make America interesting or good or even liveable
it's a hellhole of BLM riots, rampant SJWs, but also insanely high taxes and property values through the fucking roof (including rents on apartments).
Montreal is very nice but you basically need to at least understand french to live comfortably. But other than that, people really overstate the language issue, and Montreal as a city is very cheap except for food and durable goods (tools, cars, guns, etc). Rents are abysmally low, and internet and electricity and stuff are cheap too, but for some reason food is very expensive and tools are hard to come by and cars and insurance are quite expensive. there's also only like one gun store and its very expensive from what I hear.
If you can deal with french, rural quebec is very nice since it's cheap, food is also cheap (since we produce a lot of food in quebec) and the land is utterly beautiful but telecomms stuff is expensive and durable goods like cars and tools etc also remain pricey for no clear reason.
If you want the Nice Things quebec has to offer but want it to be english and cheaper for durable goods, try Halifax; the cost of living is similarly low, but there's fewer job opportunities and a lot of social problems. the abbos there are getting uppity too
all of the interior is very boring. they are important to the country but awful tourist destinations. don't bother trying to live there unless you have an oil or farming job.
BC is... it's full of hippies and the land is nice, but it's insanely expensive and there aren't a lot of jobs.
really only the east is functional AND exciting. the interior is functional but boring, the west coast is exciting but owned by the chinese
