I've been doing it for several years, and I have a decent jaw, but I dunno if that was just a result of orthodontics. My maxilla could be wider but I always had a kinda narrow one.
Make sure you're doing it correctly, it's not just protruding your mouth like retards think. Keep your teeth touching, but not clenching down tightly. Lips closed. Breath out of your nose. Tongue to the roof of your mouth, fully covering the roof of your mouth, pressed upward on the back of the roof and forward against the gums above your front teeth but not touching the teeth. It should feel fairly relaxed without any super hard pushing or clenching. It's not something you can really tell someone's doing by looking at them.
Keeping your nose airways clean makes it easier to not mouthbreathe. I think back/neck posture can affect the jaw, too. For that, I heard of something called "thinking string," where you imagine that the top of your head is being pulled up by a tight string to the ceiling. Sounds weird, but it works. Make sure your computer monitor and speakers are high enough, just about below eye level is good.
Eat chewy and crunchy food that exercises your jaw, like apples and steak. Chew food well with both sides of the mouth.
Get enough important nutrients for bones. Vitamin D, K2, calcium, magnesium.
