aishiteru is deep, real romantic love. you dont say you love cake or anime or games this way. it is reserved towards people who have a deep and meaningful connection to. its saying you are an important part of my life and it wouldnt be the same without you. its weird and uncomfortable to say aishiteru towards hobbies or medias and shit.

Daisuki literally means big like. This can equate to love or just really liking something and is more of an informal, casual way to say you love something or someone.

Aishiteru is love in a romantic fashion and translates to, "I'm in love with you." So a more formal and romantic/dedicated way to say you love someone.

But I'm just some weeb faggot, so who knows.
